An Apprenticeship Model for the LCR Health & Social Care Sector

LCR Combined Authority Skills Brokerage Team are pleased to invite professionals from the health and social care sector to an event at Liverpool Football Club on Friday 17th May 2019. Registration, refreshments and networking will be from 9.00am with the event starting at 9.30am and finishing at 12.30pm.

The event will focus on ways in which health and social care providers can work together to recruit, train and retain staff with the ultimate aim of establishing a supply chain of candidates which will benefit both health care and social care providers. Discussions will also consider how the development of a structured health and social care apprenticeship model across the Liverpool City Region could provide a meaningful career pathway into the health and social care sector for young people or those seeking a change of career.

Guest speakers on the day will include: Karen Caffrey, Chairperson of Liverpool Home Care Providers CIC, Paul Smyth, Apprenticeship Lead at Aintree University Hospital, and Mikaela Williams-Brown, Liverpool Social Care Partnership.

The LCRCA Skills Brokerage team will be on hand to support employers in identifying appropriate apprenticeship pathways for both new and existing staff. There will also be opportunities for networking with employers and LCR training providers.

The event is FREE to attend. Places are limited and previous events have been in high demand, therefore please book early to avoid disappointment.
