NAW 2019: Blaze A Trail in Liverpool City Region

The 12th annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2019) takes place 4 to 8 March 2019, AND WE WANT YOU to let us know what you are doing to celebrate all things apprenticeships by emailing us at apprenticeshiphub@halton.gov.uk with details of your activity. We will post on our events page, Facebook and Twitter, before the event and if you have any photographs after we can include them in our March newsletter. Let’s show the Nation how we lead in promoting Apprenticeships throughout the City Region. Send your info before Monday 4th March to be included, don’t miss the chance to get your organisation noticed!

Easy ideas on how to get involved:

This annual celebration of apprenticeships will bring the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy.

The NAW 2019 theme is Blaze a Trail, building on the recent Fire it Up campaign. There are many opportunities for apprentices, employers, training providers and stakeholders to adopt the theme and participate in this year’s celebrations. The LCR Apprenticeship Hub is encouraging as many individuals and organisations as possible to take part – let’s really showcase what is happening in the region!

There are several guides available that outline the ways apprentices, employers, and stakeholders can get involved:

This year’s Blaze A Trail theme is all about showcasing how apprentices bring new talent and energy into organisations. One way apprentices can participate in NAW 2019 is by showing their support on social media: there is a NAW 2019 Facebook frame and Instagram graphic. Don’t forget to use the #NAW2019 and #BlazeATrail hashtags on posts.

Apprenticeship employers are asked to show their support in a number of ways including uploading their company logo into the Fire It Up template to show commitment to apprenticeships, and letting an apprentice take over the company twitter account for the day.

Apprenticeship providers can play a key role this year by encouraging their apprentices and employers to pull out all the stops and get involved. Stakeholders can share suggestions and ideas for participating through their networks.

Social Media

A comprehensive social media guide has been produced outlining how everyone can get involved in promoting and celebrating apprenticeships under the common Blaze A Trail theme.
